JOHANNESBURG - Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi said his department is not in crisis.
That's after the listeriosis outbreak claimed 180 lives .
Motsoaledi revealed on Sunday that the origin of the outbreak has been traced to polony from the Enterprise Foods factory in Polokwane.
"Listeriosis outbreaks happen every day, even now there's an outbreak in Australia," he said.
He urged South Africans -- especially the pregnant, ill and elderly -- to steer clear not only of polony, but russians, viennas and other processed meat.
