(Library)According to BWB spokesperson Priscilla Mateyu, the board opted to disconnect water at the police officers’ houses after discussions to clear up the bill did not bear fruits. Mateyu added that the board needs the money for administration purposes and that is why a disconnection exercise was carried out at Kanjedza police camp and Mount Pleasant police houses.In reaction, the law enforcers mounted road blocks in the city to hunt for BWB vehicles as a revenge for the water providers’ decision.The law enforcers have backed their move of impounding the vehicles arguing that the cars were being used with worn out tires.Meanwhile the vehicles have been stationed at Blantyre police station in the city.
